Shanghai Attorneys Explore @WashULaw’s Online LL.M.

@WashULaw hosted a series of informational and networking events during the last week of August in Shanghai. The events, held at the Peninsula Hotel and Glamour Bar on the Shanghai Bund, offered an opportunity for both junior and experienced lawyers to learn more about @WashULaw. Thirty of China’s top industry and business media, including CBN TV, were on-site to interview Associate Dean Tomea Mersmann about the innovative program.

Lawyers from top Shanghai law firms were in attendance to learn more about how the online LL.M. in U.S. Law for foreign lawyers is delivered via @WashULaw’s innovative platform. Attendees learned about how the online LL.M. program helps students to develop their expertise in U.S. law, enabling them to effectively work with lawyers and clients in the U.S. and gain a competitive edge in the global economy. @WashULaw is unique in that it is the only top-tier online LL.M. program that allows lawyers to obtain their LL.M. in U.S. law without significantly disrupting their current legal practices or personal commitments.

Those in attendance also had the opportunity to network with other lawyers from top international and domestic firms, as well as with alumni of Washington University in St. Louis, based in the Shanghai region.
